Porcellio laevis "White" Isopod Care Guide

Porcellio laevis "White" is a beautiful morph of Porcellio laevis, known for its clean white to creamy coloration. Like other laevis morphs, it is hardy, fast-breeding, and an excellent choice for beginners, bioactive setups, or eye-catching display colonies.

Enclosure:
Provide a well-ventilated container with a substrate of flake soil, sphagnum moss, and plenty of leaf litter. Include cork bark, bark flats, and rocks for hiding and surface exploration. This species enjoys foraging and surface activity.

Temperature & Humidity:
Maintain temperatures between 70-78°F. "White Laevis" prefers moderate humidity (60-70%) with a moisture gradient—one side moist, one side drier. Good airflow prevents excess moisture and keeps the colony healthy.

Feeding:
Feed a base of decaying leaf litter and soft hardwoods. Supplement regularly with isopod diet, fish flakes, shrimp pellets, and fresh vegetables or fruit. Protein enhances growth, breeding, and coloration.

Behavior:
"White Laevis" isopods are bold, active, and prolific breeders. They tolerate a wide range of conditions and are ideal for bioactive tanks, cleanup crews, or as a bright display species.
