Cubaris murina "Glacier" Isopod Care Guide

Cubaris murina "Glacier" is a pale or near-white morph of the highly adaptable Cubaris murina. This variety is known for its frosty appearance and hardy nature, making it one of the more beginner-friendly Cubaris morphs for display or bioactive setups.

Enclosure:
Provide a well-sealed container with adjustable ventilation to maintain consistent humidity. Use a deep substrate of flake soil, sphagnum moss, and lots of leaf litter. Include tight hides such as cork bark, clay pieces, or stacked bark—"Glacier" prefers secure spaces.

Temperature & Humidity:
Maintain temperatures between 72-78°F. "Glacier" prefers high humidity (80-90%) with minimal dry areas. Mist regularly to maintain steady humidity, but avoid waterlogging the substrate.

Feeding:
Feed a staple of decaying leaf litter and soft hardwoods. Supplement with isopod diet, fish flakes, shrimp pellets, and small amounts of vegetables or fruit. Extra protein supports strong growth and breeding.

Behavior:
"Glacier" isopods are slightly more surface-active than some Cubaris and breed at a moderate to fast rate under proper conditions. They are hardy, adaptable, and great for beginner and experienced Cubaris keepers alike.
