Atlantoscia floridana, commonly called "Florida Fast," is a speedy, surface-active isopod species perfect for bioactive setups. Known for their fast movement and prolific breeding, they make an excellent cleanup crew for tropical and temperate enclosures.

Enclosure:
Provide a well-ventilated container with a substrate of flake soil, sphagnum moss, and leaf litter. Add cork bark and bark pieces for hiding. These isopods love to explore and will use both ground space and vertical surfaces.

Temperature & Humidity:
Maintain temperatures between 72-80°F. "Florida Fast" prefers moderate to high humidity (70-80%) with a light moisture gradient—keep one side moist, the other slightly drier. Regular misting is key to maintaining breeding activity.

Feeding:
Provide a staple of decaying leaf litter. Supplement with isopod diet, fish flakes, shrimp pellets, and occasional fruits or vegetables. Protein helps support rapid reproduction.
